We are Scott “Tux” Simmons and Anthony “Big Ant” Simmons. Our Mom passed away May 10, 2013 from Ovarian Cancer. She asked us not to let her die in vain. To tell women about her experience, in hopes of preventing other woman from suffering.
Since her passing we have regularly shared about her experience with Ovarian Cancer. Telling women about the proper testing, symptoms and the difficulties in getting a diagnosis. We share on Social Media and in our everyday experiences. Friends and family have participated in Ovarian Cancer Walks and 5K Awareness Runs.
On July12, 2022 (her birthday), we decided to do the Inaugural “Run in the Sun”, Ovarian Cancer Awareness Ride. A 60 mile ride on our motorcycles in the Shreveport, LA area and to a seafood restaurant on the lake. Seafood was her favorite.
FROG was her nickname. She collected frog statues, pictures and trinkets of all kinds. She had hundreds of them. That’s where Fully Relying On God came from.
We will have this “Run in the Sun”, Ovarian Cancer Awareness Ride annually. We are in the process of getting a 501(c)3 classification for Full Relying on God, so that donations will be tax deductible.
We have been riding motorcycles since we were kids. In 2022 we were able to ride together for the first time as adults.
Thank you in advance for your support! We Ride in Hopes to Save Lives!
